Using a mixture of the best propriety and open source software, and spread accross multiple independent servers, SpamShifter provides non-stop email protection.

One click easy to use filter settings can be set to low, medium or high; but if you prefer, you can use the advanced settings and tweak until it's just how you want it.

SpamShifter works at several levels. The first level filter rejects email that is sent by incorrectley configured servers, spam networks, and bulk email programs that can be picked out before any analysis of the email being transmitted. This stage also carries out prelimary virus identification based on file attachment definition, rejecting messages that contain .pif, .scr & .vbs macro viruses.

Following this first stage, the email message is passed to highly tuned server systems that perform complex spam & virus analysis. Becuase of our multi server systems, on average the whole filtering process takes only 5 to 7 seconds.

After processing, clean email is forwarded to your local or remote mail server account, & depending on the option you select in the SpamShifter control center, Spam or Virus infected email is either held for your inspection, labeled and forwarded to your account or deleted.

Individual SpamShifter servers are continuosly monitored; analysis rules are updated to catch current spam attacks, & maximum system performance is assured by standby overflow servers that switch in to maintain service levels.
